School Uniform

At Winchburgh PS we encourage all pupils to wear school uniform as this promotes a shared identity. We are also keen to avoid unnecessary costs or financial burden on families and try to be flexible in our uniform approach.

Our school uniform includes;

  • Grey or black trousers/shorts, skirt of pinafore
  • White, pale blue or navy blue polo shirt (available with logo - not essential)
  • Navy blue sweatshirt/jumper/cardigan (available with logo - not essential)
  • Pupils may wear a blue and white checked school dress in warmer weather.
  • School fleeces and waterproof jackets are also available.
  • Valuable items of jewellery and unnecessarily expensive clothing should not be brought into school.

PE Kit

P1 - 7 should come to school in suitable PE clothing - we suggest;

  • School sweatshirt, plain t-shirt, tracksuit bottoms / leggings, trainers
  • Pupils can bring a spare pair of shoes to change in the event of poor weather
  • All pupils with long hair should have it tied back and no jewellery should be worn for PE lessons

A white shirt and school tie would be preferable uniform for class/group photographs and when pupils are representing their school in public.

We also have 'pre-loved' items available at the main reception, which parents/carer are welcome to help themselves too.

School ties are available to buy through the school office at a cost of  £4.50 each.
